Recommended for kids 2+ years old, as under are more likely to rub it and then rub their eyes, and are extremely sensitive to essential oils (just as they are to most things). Children under 2 are already covered if you are wearing it and holding them, as it forms a bug barrier (my kids call it a forcefield). For kids 2+, we recommend applying it only to their backs, if they are likely to rub their legs/arms and then rub their eyes.
Apply a little to your forearms and lower legs, your neck/chest, and then rub the residual that’s on your hands into your hair (if you’re not wearing a hat and worried about ticks). It is not necessary to apply to the entire body.
